JSSPS’s Chaya Mughal takes Women’s Cricket to new heights!!! Chaya Mughal is on a high after her team, “ICC Women Warriors”, won the first ever ICC Indoor ladies tournament, held at ICC Academy, Dubai Sports City, on May 7th, 2015. The jewel in the crown was ‘The player of the tournament’ award, for her exemplary performance. Chaya, the Class Teacher of KG2J, has also represented the United Arab Emirates Women’s national team since January, 2015. Chaya is an optimistic all-rounder and bats in the top order and bowls with a lot of discipline and is electrifying as a fielder. ‘’Cricket is my passion’, she said. ‘’I want to excel as a cricketer in the upcoming years. It’s a privilege to be a part of a national team and I am always committed to the game and I will strive for better results by staying focussed and determined’’, added Chaya. “If you are persistent, you will get it. If you are consistent, you will keep it” that’s her belief. Inspite of her hectic schedule, she manages to strike a balance between her roles as a teacher and as a cricketer. She is an asset to our school and we are proud of her achievements. Women’s cricket is a new and progressive initiative in this part of the region and “We will support Chaya to accomplish her aims”, said the Principal, Mrs Chitra Sharma. JSSPS congratulates Chaya on her remarkable performance and wishes her all the very best in her cricketing endeavours. The “ICC Women Warriors” team. “The Player of the tournament” award.
