March Meeting Highlights:
A big Thank You to all club members and for their part in making the St. Jude Dance and Auction a huge success. This
year’s event brought in a little over $5000.00 for the kids of St. Jude! The Southern Cross and the Legion have been
booked again for February 27, 2016!
The first Roadside Cleanup of the year was held Sunday, March 22nd . Jerry Lutker was joined by Steve Kiesewetter, Jim
Bunting & Paul Doubet. They picked up from the park entrance to Thousand Dollar Road. The other half is yet to be
done.
April Highlights (Jubilee Equestrian Park):
Jubilee Riders Club Ride @ Jubilee Park, April 17-19, 2015 was cancelled on Thursday prior to the event because the
park was closed. As you may know, Jerry Lutker, Renee Kiesewetter and several other members got involved and the park
was subsequently opened that weekend. Jerry has gotten the ball rolling with finding a Superintendent for the park and
has kept all informed with what is going on via our website, email and Facebook. Here is a link to Jerry’s interview with

 Jubilee Riders Club Meeting, May 14, 2015 @ Jubilee Equestrian Park
 Jubilee Riders Club Ride @ Jubilee Park, May 22-25, 2015 (Memorial Day Weekend), 10:00 AM on Saturday
the 23rd; Saddle Drawing following the ride on Saturday…make it a l-o-n-g weekend and camp!
 Saddle Up for St. Jude will be held June 6th out at the park. 18th Annual Trail ride through Jubilee State Park,
Brimfield at 10:00am (weather permitting) Lunch around 12:00 noon Live Auction to begin around 1:00pm Bring
your camping chairs and auction items. If you want to help, contact Julie Graves.
 Great trail riding adventure at Ft. Robinson, Nebraska: The ride is for ALL horses, hosted by APHA (American
Paint Horse Association), stay in the lodge (which is the fort), stalls are in the original Calvary barn, meals
provided, 13 hr. drive from IL, dates: Sept. 7-12. Check out the website and share with others. They have a
limited number of riders and do fill the ride. Karen Smith and Donna Perry went in 2010 and had a great time;
Paul and Sharon Doubet are planning to go on this ride in September. Check out reservation details at:

be read at the next meeting to be held on Thursday May 14th at the Jubilee Equestrian
Park with a Potluck @ 6:30 followed by the meeting @7:00.
President’s Note: Finally, a pleasant spring without the torrential downpours. Rode at Jubilee
Thursday, April 23rd, and it was bone dry, even Boot Hill, completely dry. Trails have a lot of logs in the way, making
it difficult to travel in the park on a gator or 4-wheeler. In fact, there is one tree on main trail right after the Boot
Hill cut off. Happy Trails…Jerry
Jubilee Park:
Promote The Park: If you have not already done so, take a minute and go out to www.HorseTrailDirectory.com , click
on “Illinois” and add a comment about Jubilee Equestrian Park. We need to promote the park to get people to come!
Trail Update: Trails are open; see “President’s Note” above. Please do not call the park and complain; it is expected that
a new Superintendent will be hired by early summer. If you can, please participate in trail clean-up days as they are
scheduled.

Calendar of Events:
Jubilee Rider’s Business Meetings: 2nd Thursday of the month. All meetings are potluck @ 6:30/meeting 7:00.
May through October, meetings are held at the Jubilee Equestrian Park. November thru April, meetings are held at the
Brimfield Evangelical Free Church on the corner of Maher Road and Route 150 in Brimfield. Any changes to the location
due to weather will be communicated via email. There is no meeting in December.
