First Day at FAC This year, because of our camp location at Juneau Douglas High School, the structure of the first day has changed a little. Parents should bring campers through the doors of auxiliary gym, where they will find the Fine Arts Camp front desk, receive their camp schedule and be directed to their assigned class. The Fine Arts Camp director and registrar will be at the front desk to answer any questions you may have, and to register any late-comers. After each class, teenage assistants will walk children to the JDHS auxiliary gym -- the camp's central meeting area this year -- to meet for their next class. Parents should plan to pick up children IN the auxiliary gym each day, where their teen assistant will sign out each child. Late Pick Up Penalties - CAMP IS OVER AT 12 P.M. AND 2:20 P.M. JDU’s liability insurance mandates our instructors to remain in the building until all students have departed. When class is over, if an instructor has to stay longer than 15 minutes with a student waiting to be picked up, parents will be billed $25 per 15 minutes for the instructor’s time. Invoices will be mailed and prompt payment is expected. Snacks/Lunch All FAC students are required to bring a snack for our snack break - K-1st snack at 10:15 a.m. and 2nd-6th graders snack at 10:50 a.m. Full day campers are required to bring a lunch also.
