In this class we will focus primarily on three of those limbs: asana (the postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and dharana (concentration). As we engage in this practice, we come to know our bodies much better. We develop awareness of the body's habitual holding patterns. Weak areas will grow stronger and tight areas will become more flexible. General vitality and energy levels will improve, and our ability to unwind and relax comes more easily. A balanced yoga practice develops coordination, flexibility, stamina, balance, mental clarity, increased concentration, and overall health. The instructor has been teaching Yoga for forty years.
