In Europe alone we have about 2000 R&D employees over half of whom are scientists and engineers with advanced university degrees. Our European intern program has successfully developed into an ideal way to hire our future R&D employees. It's a period of mutual trial - a chance for you to gain industrial experience, look at us as a potential future employer and for us to see your capabilities. We enroll students from the different scientific and engineering disciplines into the various roles in R&D (see R&D roles on web page for details). Students are normally in their penultimate year of study of a first degree. A standard internship normally runs for 12 weeks in the summer break but we can also run them for longer or shorter periods and at different times of the year. All our European Technical Centres (Brussels, Egham, Newcastle, Pescara and Schwalbach) participate.
