Mickey Arthur encourages coaches
Speaking to local community members, teachers and coaches, Mickey also provided
insight into the Australian Cricket Team’s dressing room. He spoke in-depth about
leadership and was very open with his leadership approach and impact on the
Australian Cricket Team. His knowledge and experiences allowed all who attended to
gain practical and useful examples to take to their local teams.

As former Australian, South African and Western Warriors Cricket Team
Coach, Mickey engaged almost 60 young Cricketers throughout the
Pilbara region at the Leisureplex. The three day academy incorporated
specialised masterclass sessions in batting, bowling and fielding.
Mickey’s enthusiasm and great knowledge enabled the young Cricketers
to gain and expand their Cricketing skills. Well done to all cricketers and
coaches who created a fantastic three day event!

April School
Holiday
Activities a Hit!
The April school holiday
activities saw our largest
participation numbers to date.
Kids of all ages took part in
morning sport clinics including
boxing, water polo, netball
and beach volleyball. In the
afternoon, we had fun playing
lazer tag, glow in the dark mini
golf and rock climbing just to
name a few. Thank you and well
done to all participants!

The splash pad will remain closed to
the public until 15 May to allow for
replacement of the ground surfaces. The

It’s showtime!
Pack your swimmers, some popcorn and bring your lilo to the pool on Thursday
9th April to watch ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (2010, rated PG). Kick back and relax in
front of the big screen by the pool. The movie is free with pool entry and starts at
6:30pm. All ages are welcome!
