relax when stress starts to get a grip on you. This workshop will be a fun way to review some very practical and doable techniques to reduce your own stress, including:
• Typical patterns that cause stress, and warning signs and symptoms of stress;
• Quick review of 10 techniques to reduce stress and a chance to practice many of them.
• A chance to ask questions, and then focus on a goal to immediately implement techniques that will work for you.
The Basics of Municipal Bonds for School Districts in Kansas - Process for Calling a School Bond Election

The presentation will consist of an overview of the process for calling a school bond election and the development
of a plan of finance for the proposed bond issue. The process for calling the bond election includes development of
the ballot question, selecting an election date, evaluating traditional and mail-ballot elections, submitting an
application to the State Board of Education and drafting the resolution to be adopted by the Board of Education. The
development of the plan of finance will provide insight regarding the assumptions used in projecting the mill levy and
taxpayer cost estimates as well as understanding how State Aid, Interest Rates and Assessed Valuation growth can
impact the projected mill levy for the proposed bond election.
