Track Dozer Operator
Mamatwan Mine

Ensuring compliance with BHP Billiton’s commitment to Zero Harm, you
will play a key role in safety loading, hauling and dumping activities in
the Mamatwan mining area. You will be multi-skilled on different mobile
equipment and required to operate the different machines based on
operational requirements. Key performance areas include applying health,
safety and housekeeping standards, participating in investigations into
workplace incidents and reporting any unsafe behaviour, conditions and
incidents to the responsible person. You will also conduct pre-use and
routine inspections, report defects, and conduct risk assessments before all
tasks to identify risks and hazards. You will be expected to keep mobile
equipment clean and in a good condition at all times.
You will need a Grade 12 certificate plus 2 years’ experience in operating
specific mobile equipment in a mining environment. Alternatively, a
relevant educational qualification with 5 years’ experience in operating
specific mobile equipment (D10 and D08) in a mining environment will be
accepted. You must have a Code 08 or 10 driver’s licence as well as a licence
for the specific mobile equipment (Track Dozer D10 and D08 caterpillar or
equivalent) and be medically fit. A team orientation is important.

To apply, you will need a Grade 12 certificate, coupled with a Public Driver’s
licence, a Hauler licence and 2 years’ experience in operating a Hauler in a
mining environment. Multi-skilling in different Trackless Mobile Machinery
will be advantageous. A drive for results and good teamwork skills will be
beneficial, and you must be medically fit.
