He is responsible for the successful implementation of systems and services across our new and existing customer base. Rob is PRINCE2 trained, an excellent business analyst and effective communicator. He is a personable, enthusiastic and driven individual with a proven track record in all aspects of working time change. Rob has over sixteen years’ experience in implementing new ways of working through workforce planning and management software systems. He has delivered a range of consultancy, training and project management services helping organisations implement new and more flexible working time arrangements that optimise workforce utilisation, reduce unit cost, deliver legislative compliance and enhance the work life balance of employees. Rob has worked across various sectors such as utilities, manufacturing, air services, distribution and hospitality. Katharina Albert (M.Eng.), Managing Director of Kat Logics – Simulation Solutions (Dubai, UAE) Katharina Albert is a material flow simulation expert based in Dubai. She is from Germany and holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering & Industrial Management. She has worked as project manager in the regional logistics and aviation sector and established Kat Logics – Simulation Solutions in 2011. Her business consultancy is unique as it is specializing in the optimization of material and information flow as well as lean facility design by applying sophisticated methodologies and 3D simulation. She has been the first in the region to actively promote this approach at numerous conferences and industry events. Katharina has worked with major clients in the region, such as Elopak Obeikan, Aptec Group, Ras Al Khaimah Airport, Schierholz / Emirates Flight Catering, General Electric, ITS, Al Majdouie and Sadara. Page 4 of 6 GUEST SPEAKERS: Dr. Mohamed Salem, former Deputy-VP HR, Center of Excellence & Talent Management at EMAL (Dubai, UAE) Dr. Salem retired from Emirates Aluminium in March 2014 where he held the position of Deputy-VP HR, Center of Excellence & Talent Management. He joined EMAL in November 2007 at the start of the greenfield project to establish the HR Division and manage the Training Department, entrusted with the mission to ensure the delivery of training to EMAL employees within set deadlines to meet the needs of the whole project. Prior to joining EMAL in November 2007, Dr. Salem held several managerial positions in human resource management & development in the automotive, oil and gas, aircraft, and aluminium industries. Following the relocation from Indonesia to Dubai in 1996, Dr. Salem worked for DUBAL as Training Manager for four years. In 2000, he joined for two years Dubai Internet City (later TECOM) as Director of Human Resources & Management Development, with the mission to set up and develop the TECOM Corporate HR Division. Later, he joined the newly established “Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority” (ADTA) as Senior Advisor HR in charge of setting up and staffing the HR Division, for the two entities, ADTA and its TDIC subsidiary. In the early 1990s, as a lecturer in Paris, he taught "Organization Behavior" at the French-American Institute of Management, and "Business Strategy" at the Institute of Management Studies. While in Dubai, he held for three years the post of Lecturer in “Human Resources Management” for University of Belgium - Dubai Campus, in Knowledge Village. Dr. Salem holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Centre d’Etudes Superieures Industrielles (Lyon - France), a Master’s degree and a Doctorate degree in Education (Administration, Planning & Social Policy) from Harvard University. Currently, Dr Salem is a Consultant in HR and Talent Management, assisting companies in improving the optimization of their human resources. Vicky Court, Ambulance Communications Centre Manager at National Ambulance LLC (Abu Dhabi, UAE) Vicky Court is currently the Communications Centre Manager at National Ambulance based in Abu Dhabi. National Ambulance provides the frontline emergency ambulance Response in the Northern Emirates responding to Emergency calls. National Ambulance also provides medical cover at large scale events such as the F1 Grand Prix and Du Arena. Before moving to Abu Dhabi Vicky worked for the London Ambulance Service for 15 years. Starting in 1999 as an ambulance technician. She became a paramedic in 2004 then progressed to the Duty Station Officer role. She became an Ambulance Operations manager in 2007 initially based in the Control Room then managing various areas across South London. Vicky acted as a Commander at a variety of large Events such as the Central London New year’s Eve Celebrations and Notting Hill Carnival and incidents such as the London Riots and 7/7 Bombings. Prior to joining the Ambulance Service Vicky worked as a manager in the Retail and Leisure Industry. Vicky is originally from Hartlepool in the North East moving to London in 1990 to attend Middlesex University where she obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Business Management. She has lived in Abu Dhabi since May 2014.
