Championship
TEHRAN (MNA) – Two Iranian representatives of beach wrestling team won gold and a silver
medal to stand on the third place
at Beach Wrestling World Championship.
Launched on June 12th,
Beach Wrestling World Championship is underway in three
age groups of adolescents,
youth and adults till June 16
in Romania.
Accordingly, Iranian junior team
ranked third at the competition,
with Reza Razipour gaining gold in
60Kg and Mehrab Karimi winning
silver medal in +70Kg.

Iran Strikes Victories Against Rivals
TEHRAN (MNA) – Velayat International Kickboxing Cup wrapped
up in Tehran on Friday with Iranian
athletes taking the lead against foreign
opponents.
Velayat International Kickboxing Cup that wrapped up on Friday
brought the Iranian athletes 5 victo-
ries against foreign rivals.
Hojjat Darvish in -65km beat the
Spanish athlete in three consecutive
rounds. Mohammad Bana in -65km
also managed to secure victory over
Uzbekistan.
In -85km, Touraj Karimi won a
knockout victory against Georgia
and Meysam Agharezaei beat his
Portuguese opponent Miguel Oscar
in -70km.
In the match against Afghanistan,
however, Iranian athlete Hossein
Hayati lost to Seyed Ali Asghar in
-70km.

Iran Expected to Bag
Over 20 Medals in Italian
Labor Sports Games
ROME( IRNA) – Deputy minister of sports and youth for promoting public sports said that Iranian
athletes is slated to win more than
20 medals in Italian Labor Sports
Games.
Gholamreza Sha’bani-Bahar told
IRNA Friday that Iranian participants performed well in the competitions, although the country took
part in the event for the first time.
As to permanent presence of Iran
in Labor Sports World Confederation, he said that the country’s well
performance in this round of competitions pave the way for Iran’s
permanent membership in the confederation.
The 4th of CSIT World Labor
Sports Games opened in Lignano
Sabbiadoro on June 8 and will continue until June 14.
Iran is participating in the competitions with 47 male and 16 female
athletes in eight sports categories.
World Labor Sports Games, international event is held biannually, is
considered as type of cultural exchanges among the countries.
On the second day of the competitions, Iranian wrestlers won two
gold medals and one bronze medal.

TEHRAN (Persian League) Majid Jalali renews his contract
with Saipa football club to continue
as the head coach of the team in
main goal in the next season is to
finish in top four in order to book
a place in the AFC Champions
League.
Cup took place in Tehran with prominent athletes from Georgia, Uzbekistan, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Russia
and Afghanistan in participation.
The women competitions will

NEW DALHI (Persian League)-
India football head coach Stephen
Constantine has pressed for an international friendly before playing
against Iran in September in the
2018 football World Cup Qualification Preliminary Round Two here. “I
need more time for preparations. I
need friendly games. I need my team
to play a friendly before we take on
Iran,” he said.
India play Guam on June 16 and
then take on Iran on September 8
here in Group D of the Preliminary
Round Two of the qualifiers. Constantine said his wards need games
to get experience to play at the international level.

“These boys need games. Last year
they played twice in 12 months, so we
have a lot of boys who do not have international experience. They will learn
on the job and hopefully learn it quickly so that we can go to the next stage,”
he said after India lost to Oman.
Constantine said India’s performance against Oman was much
better than the performance put up
against Nepal in Round One. “We
showed not only to Oman, but a lot
of other teams that we are going to
get better every game. This was a
better performance than the game
we won against Nepal ... So I think
we are moving in the right direction,” he said.
Cuba Presents Baseball Team for
Pan Am Games
HAVANA (Xinhua) -- Cuba’s
Baseball Federation unveiled here
on Friday the 24-men team to take
part in the Pan American Games in
Toronto, Canada on July 10-26.
According to the federation, the
team will travel to North Carolina,
United States, for warm-up and
preparations before going to Toronto.
At the Pan Am games, Cuba will play
Colombia in its first match on July 11.
