Within the European Commission set Personal Protective Directive PPE 89/686/ EEC – the standards for Eye and face Protection Products falls under regulation EN166:2001. All products tested to this standard are measured against various hazards as encountered in industry, laboratories, educational establishments, DIY activities, etc. which are likely to damage the eye or impair vision of the user.
