HR Series 2015 - Part 3
TNA: IDENTIFYING & EVALUATING
YOUR TRAINING PROGRAMS
Date: 27 - 28 May 2015
Venue: Radisson Hotel Brunei
Course Overview
Training is a crucial element in improving the quality and productivity at the workplace. However, unfortunately
it is often done in a haphazard manner. When done systematically the limited training budget can be
allocated more effectively towards areas that need improvement the most. A Training Needs Analysis
(TNA) addresses this problem methodically to discern actual gaps that are apparent in the workforce.
This 2-day workshop takes participants through the concepts, procedures and methods commonly used
in designing a TNA for their organization.
This two-day workshop will teach participants to:
¾¾ Understand the relationship between training and the
organization
¾¾ Appreciate the three main training and development
perspectives
¾¾ Understand what are and what are not training needs
¾¾ Make decisions on when and
when not to conduct training needs
analysis
¾¾ Detail the benefits and difficulties with training needs
analysis
¾¾ Determine the causes and solutions for on-the-job
problems
¾¾ Formulate and plan a training needs analysis system for
their organizations
¾¾ Analyze job performance problems to be responded by
training
¾¾ Perform a training needs analysis
¾¾ Design questionnaires and interview guides for TNA
Who should attend?
¾¾ Evaluate outcomes according to training Needs Analysis
This program is for HR Managers, Heads of Department, Training Managers, Supervisors, Management Consultants, HR
practitioners, OD specialists, Team Leaders and line managers who are tasked to identify, justify and plan training interventions
