2014-2015 SACSAA Awards Each year, KECSAC and the State Agency Children School Administrators Association (SACSAA) award exemplary educators, support personnel, and community members. These honors are designed to highlight the dedication and skill that teachers, administrators and support staff in KECSAC programs are bringing to the education of students at-risk. We would also like to recognize a community member or organization that has shown outstanding support to state agency children and programs. By nominating a person or organization in any of these categories, you help show appreciation for those who are doing the difficult and often thankless work of improving the lives of youth. In addition, the KECSAC Outstanding Student of the Year Award will be given to a state agency child who has demonstrated exemplary efforts in overcoming personal and educational obstacles to attain educational goals. The award will be presented to a high school senior and will be accompanied by a scholarship to be used during the following year for post secondary or vocational education. The awards will be presented at the 14th Annual Alternative Strategies for Educating Students At-Risk Conference on July 29 - 30, 2015. • Nominations for SACSAA Awards must be submitted to SACSAA President Sue Buley by May 31, 2015. • Nominations for Outstanding Student should be submitted to Kaye Parker, KECSAC Associate Director, by April 3, 2015.
