South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust
Psychosexual Service
Overview
Our service has been helping people overcome their sexual problems
for more than 20 years.
We are experts in dealing with psychosexual problems of all levels of complexity, but
our expertise is helping patients with complex and enduring sexual problems, where
counselling or medication alone have been insufficient.
We specialise in treating people with:
›› Lack of sexual desire
›› Sexual aversion
›› Erectile dysfunction
›› Premature, retarded ejaculation and non-ejaculation
›› Sexual pain (vaginismus and dyspareunia)
›› Anorgasmia
›› Hypersexual disorder / sexual addiction
›› Paraphilias
›› Gender dysphoria
›› Other disorders related to sexuality and sexual functioning
Psychosexual combination treatment brings together medical, psychiatric and
psychological interventions in a brief single course of therapy, usually lasting up
to 20 sessions.
As we are a specialist service, funding for assessment and
treatment would need to be agreed by the local clinical
commissioning group (CCG). Please do not hesitate to contact
us for any assistance with obtaining funding.
