Another great boating season is fast approaching and we want to make sure you’re a part
of it. Please visit our website, www.kenilworthsailingclub.org, and download your
membership application. There are several membership options available and they are
outlined on the application. Being a member of the Kenilworth Sailing Club is a great
way to enjoy the lake all summer long. The 2015 season starts on June 6th.
This year, to make the Club even more accessible to members, the Club will be open 9:00
AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week with attendants available to help you get your boat in
the water and ensure your safe return.
You don’t need to know how to sail to be a member. If you want to learn, we offer
private sailing lessons. Or you can enjoy the lake on a kayak or paddleboard. You don’t
need to own a boat to be a member. We have a fleet of Sailboats, Kayaks and Stand Up
Paddleboards (SUPs) that you can use.
If you do own your boat, we have memberships available which include rack space.
These racks are reserved on a “first come, first served” basis with priority given to our
existing rackholders. This spring, the Kenilworth Sailing Club is benefiting from an
Eagle Scout project which will reconfigure the racks in order to provide significantly
more space for paddleboards and kayaks! If you are interested in a rack for your boat,
please send your membership application in as soon as possible! If we cannot
accommodate everyone, we will have a waitlist.

In addition to the extended hours and expanded racks, we are offering several new
activities for our members who enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding:

We are starting a morning Kayak and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board excursion
group this summer.

The Kenilworth Cup Regatta at the end of the summer will also include events for
Kayaks and SUPs
In addition to our memberships, we offer several camps during the summer. These
camps - Sailing, Water Sports, and Beginner Water Sports - are filling up quickly so
register now to reserve a spot! They are a great way for your kids to build new skills and
confidence while having fun with their friends.
We hope you will become a member or renew your membership this year and join the
fun! We look forward to seeing you at the sailing beach this summer!

Reminder: All KSC members need to be current members of the Kenilworth Village Beach as well.
* Associate Membership does not include guest passes: use of club boats is limited to family members listed on membership forms.
** Thank you for considering an additional contribution to the club. While we are a non-profit organization, we are not a charitable
organization; therefore, contributions are not tax deductible. Traditionally, the fees collected for membership and from the camps
cover the club’s general expenses. Our goal is to continue to add boats and to update equipment as it is financially prudent to do so.
With your contribution, we can improve the club more quickly.
Damage to Club Sailboats, Club Kayaks and other Club Equipment is charged at replacement costs plus labor.

I consent to the participation of my minor(s) listed above in and with KSC Activities (defined below in this paragraph) ,
and I understand that my and/or my minor’s participation may involve risk of serious injury or death, including losses
which may result not only from my or my minor’s own actions, inactions or negligence, but also from the actions,
inactions, or negligence of others, the condition of the facilities, equipment, or areas where KSC Activities are
conducted, and/or the rules of play of this type of activity. I certify that I and my minor(s) listed above are in good
health and have no physical condition that would prevent participation in KSC Activities. Furthermore, I consent to
emergency medical treatment in the event such care is necessary or desirable. I will assume all expenses related to the
medical care of the above named persons or any guests of the above-named persons (“Guests”). To the maximum
extent permitted by law, on behalf of each of the above-named persons, their heirs, executors, administrators and
assigns, I do hereby remise, release and forever discharge the Kenilworth Sailing Club, the Village of Kenilworth, the
Kenilworth Park District, and their officers, directors, employees, members, volunteers, and agents, successors and
assigns, and each of them (collectively, the “Released Parties”), of and from any and all liability, demands, claims,
damages, actions, causes of action, and loss whatsoever which now exist or may hereafter arise out of, or which in any
way relate to, participation and membership of any of the above-named persons, any of them, or any Guests in the
Kenilworth Sailing Club, or any use or operation, with or without permission of the property, equipment, facilities
owned, leased, operated, or controlled by the Village of Kenilworth, the Kenilworth Park District, the Kenilworth Sailing
Club, or any of them (“KSC Use Activities”) or out of, or which in any way relate to KSC Storage Activities (defined below).
Further, I assume full responsibility for any and all damage or injury, of any type, which may result to any of the abovenamed persons, or any Guest, and for any and all damage to my or any Guest’s boat(s), equipment or other property or
any boat, property, or equipment which they may be using, which injury or damage arises or may arise out of or in any
way relates to the storage of such boat(s), equipment or any other property in the racks or lockers provided by the
Kenilworth Sailing Club for use by me or any Guest , or the use or operation of any of the above-described facilities,
property or equipment (the “KSC Storage Activities” and collectively with the KSC Use Activities, the “KSC Activities”).
Further, I agree to indemnify and save harmless the Released Parties of and from any and all liability, demands, claims,
damages, actions, causes of action, and loss which may arise or be asserted against them, or any of them, as a result of
which may arise or be asserted against them, or any of them, as a result of the operation or use by the above-named
persons, any Guest, or any of them, or any of the aforesaid facilities, property or equipment. I agree to indemnify, save
and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages and liabilities for indemnities,
contribution or otherwise with respect to any damage and/or injury, of any type, arising from my or my minor(s)’ or any
Guest’s participation in KSC Activities. I also agree that this agreement extends, but is not limited to, all acts of
negligence by the undersigned and/or my minor(s), or guest(s) and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is
permitted by law, and if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid, the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue
in full force and effect.
Photo/Audio/Video Release:
I, hereby give permission for audio and visual images of me and/or my child under age 18, captured during regular KSC
Activities through audio, photo, and/or video recording means, to be used solely for the promotional material,
multimedia and publication purposes of the Kenilworth Sailing Club.
Any guest(s) of the above named persons, or the parents of such guest if such guest is under 18 years of age, must have a signed
release on file Releases are available on line at www.kenilworthsailingclub.org or at the boathouse
MUST BE SIGNED BY BOTH PARENTS OF ANY MINOR (UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS) LISTED ABOVE
