Kentucky 4-H Friends & Alumni has been formed under the umbrella of the 4-H Foundation. Those who wish to join are ask to give $20 annually, of which they can designate $10 to the County 4-H Council of their choice. A great way to take part in this international experience is by becoming a host family for one of these students. Applications are now being accepted. Youth in the Language Laboratory, or LABO, program are between the ages of 12 and 16. These young people want to experience the life of an average American family. If you are interested in becoming a host family or receiving more information contact Mark Mains, at [email protected]. Requesting information does not obligate families to host students this year. Biographies of the Japanese youth can be obtained after an application for hosting is submitted and approved. 4-H Horse Program “Leg Up” Scholarship All applications are available online at http://raceforeducation.org/scholarships/ Inquires about this and any other RFE scholarship may be directed to The Race for Education at: (859) 252-8648.
