No other heat pump does more, with less. INTEGRAL Energy Recovery Ventilators Choose the Bulldog integral ERV to save space, reduce installation costs and eliminate bulk-heads. Energy Recovery Ventilator Models IK008 to IK018 (3/4 - 1½ ton units) Outside air fan is designed to provide 50 cfm (23 lps) of outside air against an external static pressure of 0.15" (40 pa). The exhaust air fan exhausts 50 cfm (23 lps) against a static pressure of 0.25”(65 pa). Energy Recovery Ventilator Models HK020 to HK036 (1¾ - 3 ton units) Outside air fan is designed to provide 100 cfm (47 lps) of outside air against an external static pressure of .15" (40 pa). The exhaust air fan exhausts 100 cfm (47 lps) against a static pressure of 0.25”(65 pa). Core Media Fan and Core sections are removable. The membrane is constructed from a composite of polymer material that allows heat and water vapor to transfer from one air stream to another while preventing cross contamination. Defrost The outside air fan is turned off during the defrost cycle. The defrost cycle is temperature dependent and activated with any indication of icing. The membrane contains Microban anti-microbial protection which will eliminate mold and bacteria that reach this surface. The sensible efficiency shall be no less than 80%. Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV) Sequence of Operation 1. The Vertical Stacked main supply fan must be operating in order for the ERV apparatus to operate 4. The ERV control switch must be “ON” to provide fresh air introduction 2. ERV fans will be enabled to operate: a) On a call for heating from the thermostat b) On a call for cooling from the thermostat c) When thermostat fan selector switch is placed in the “ON” mode d) When a field mounted 24v remote control switch is closed 5. The backdraft damper on the fresh air fan will open when the fresh air fan is operational 3. The unit cabinet has a built in bypass relief damper to allow the toilet exhaust fan to exhaust if the unit and/ or ERV fans are “OFF”. 6. All fans will run under normal operation 7. The defrost sensor will detect a frost build up on the heat exchanger and will terminate the operation of the fresh air fan until the frost clears No other heat pump does more, with less.
