Lunch menu for today is chicken strips or chef salad, whole grain bread, green beans and milk. Thursday’s
breakfast menu is poptart or assorted cereal, crackers, peaches and milk.
There are no birthdays to announce today.
Home Room Meetings:
Student check out sheets will be handed out tomorrow by your 1st period teacher.
Basketball girls that are planning on going to the Greeley camp must turn their forms into Mr. Pedersen before
you check out on Thursday.
Boys Basketball open gym will be on Wednesdays @ 7:00 p.m. starting in June.
Drivers' Ed will be offered at Banner County Schools May 26-29 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. See Miss Lindgren for a
registration sheet. Cost is $240. You must have a permit or a drivers' license to take the class.
Any FFA members who have pigs to tag for county fair need to let Mrs. Wheeler know so I can come out and
tag them in early June.
Obligations are posted on the library window. Remember you must have your obligations paid before you will
be checked out.
The Kimball Dance Club is happy to announce a Dance Technique class for students ages 13-18. The class will
be held July 6th-10th. For more information or to sign up pick up a registration form in the office.
Auditions for the varsity show choir, New Dimension, will be held today from 3:30 to 6:00. Anyone wishing to
audition please speak with Mr. Hoffman to get your name on the audition roster. While this is not required, it
is recommended so we can facilitate a smooth and stress free audition for all who are participating. If you are
planning to audition and would like to practice the vocal material ahead of time, please contact Mr. Hoffman.
For those interested in participating in the Jr Golf program this summer you may pick up a form outside of the
office that has all the information on it.
High school students
If you failed a core class with a 60% or higher and would like to attend summer school to make up the credit,
please let your teacher know.
Make sure to check the balance of your lunch account and get it paid before the end of the year check out
time. You will not get checked out until it is paid in full.
Sign up now for Teen Summer Reading from May 27-July 1 at the Kimball Public Library. Read books and have
a chance to draw for prizes! Would you like to help with the children’s summer reading on Wednesday
mornings? This is a GREAT opportunity for a rewarding experience and to receive community service credit for
college applications. The Kimball Public Library is also offering two other opportunities just for teens (6-1
grades) this summer. The first is an Entrepreneurship Camp on seven Tuesdays this summer from 11-4 p.m. at
the library starting June 2 and finishing on July 14 that is offered through a partnership with Nebraska
Extension. You will write a business plan and start your own business. You will meet with local community
business leaders and learn how to be successful. Pre-register at the county extension office or the library.
Limited to 10 participants. Cost is free for 4-H members and $20 for non-members.
The second is a free Teen Maker Camp the week of July 20-23 from 1-4 p.m. Design and print an object on the
library’s new 3D printer. Limited to 10 students. Apply Now!
Vista Villa is looking for volunteers to help serve the evening meals evenings. It would be a good opportunity
to get hours to log in your portfolios for jobs and college. Contact the Villa at 235-4495.
