Glenn William Fogelman Glenn William Fogelman, 81, Sturgis and formerly of Opal, SD, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his home in Sturgis. Glenn was born July 11, 1933, at Parker, SD, to Ernest and Fannie (Devires) Fogelman. He grew up at Chancellor, SD. Glenn married Margaret Lou Jerman on February 25, 1954, in Parker. They lived in Georgia while Glenn was in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1955. Glenn and Margaret moved to Chanceller, SD, and farmed in Turner County until 1971. They bought a ranch near Opal in 1971 where they raised four children. Glenn and Margaret were active neighbors in the community with Glenn serving a time as Manager of the Opal Hall and was on the Volunteer Fire Department. Together, they sold the ranch in September of 2013 and moved to Sturgis. Glenn and Margaret had been active members of the Church of Christ in Faith for many years and Glenn went on to preach at the Prairie City Church of Christ for 23 years. They joined the Church of Christ in Sturgis in 2013. Glenn is survived by sons, David (Barbara) Fogelman, Hamilton, TX, and Brian (Cheri) Fogelman, Aledo, TX; daughter, Gwen Miller, Sioux Falls, SD; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; twenty-one greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Erma Beaner, Humbolt, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret and son, Daniel Fogelman. A memorial has been established to the Kawasaki Disease Foundation at www.kdfoundation.org.
