Dear Potential Sponsor,
You are receiving this letter on behalf of the South Florence Junior Legion Baseball Program. We will enter our
4th year of playing Junior Legion Baseball in 2015. These are exciting times and clearly the extra competition
and practice over the summer has helped our High School program continue to improve year after year.
We sponsor 2 teams annually, the Blue and Gold teams. Some fast facts:
 Team size is capped at 13 players to ensure opportunity to perform
 Players who were born between 1998 and 2002 are eligible for Junior Legion in 2015
 Regular season runs from end of May until first week of July (then playoffs)
 Typical Regular Season is 20-24 games over the course of 5-6 weeks
 Gold team has made the playoffs all three years and made the State Finals in 2013
 Blue team has made the playoffs the last two years and made the State Finals in 2014
 Blue team won their League Championship in 2014
 In the previous three years, players have participated from the following High Schools:
o SFHS / WFHS/ FCS / Robert E. Lee / H-P / Lamar / TKA
Since we aren’t sponsored by a Legion Post, we fund all team expenses internally. These expenses grow
annually, so we are looking for Local Sponsors to help us offset these costs. We also use these funds to “give
back” by making an annual improvement to the SF Baseball Field. As a team sponsor, you can showcase your
business by being involved with a team organization that reaches fans in Florence, Sumter, Marion,
Bennettsville, Lake City, Camden, Hartsville, Cheraw, and Darlington. You also show that you are active in
youth development and community responsibility.
If you are interested in sponsoring our program, please complete the sponsorship information form and
submit with your check to the listed address or via the player who contacted you. When your information is
received you will be sent a donation receipt. Season and Team Level Sponsorships are assigned on a first
come basis. In order to have everything ready for the opening game, the Deadline for receiving your
Sponsorship Application is Friday, May 15.
