Grand Knight’s Message
Brothers,
As we prepare to celebrate Easter, let us thank our Lord Jesus Christ for the
greatest gift of all. He gave his life for our eternal salvation. As we celebrate that
great day, let us thank him for everything that we have, including the time that we
will spend with family and friends. We pray that all Brother Knights and their
families have safe travel wherever they go to celebrate this joyous event.
We held a lot of great events that included a First Degree with our PGK and
FDD Brother John Erwin as the honoree. We honored our Police Officers who
serve and protect us at our annual Police Night. Thanks to Brother Don Wilson for
coordinating the event. We held Membership Drives at our three Parishes, with
thanks to our Chancellor Jerry Burke. We held our MS Drive, with thanks to
Brother Mike Meo, who coordinated the event.
We have a lot of great events this month that includes our annual Good Friday
Fish Dinner on Friday, April 3rd, run by our Trustee and PGK Mark Kiernan. We
are holding a First Degree on Monday, April 6th at 8 pm. Our Annual Intellectual
Disabilities Drive will be held from Thursday, April 23rd through Sunday, April
26th. Please see our Chancellor Jerry Burke for more details.
I ask you to read the Calendar of events and the articles inside to see the other
wonderful things going on at the Council this month. Our Knight of the Month for
March 2015 was Guard Thomas Slattery, who helps out in many other Council
activities and took over our Council Spelling Bee.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. My
phone number is listed above. My email address is [email protected].
Thank You and God Bless Always!
Vivat Jesus
John
