Adria Airways from Stockholm to Ljubljana From yesterday Adria Airways’s summer timetable will offer two flights a week between Ljubljana and Stockholm: on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Representatives of Adria Airways, the Slovenian Tourist Board (Spirit) and Slovenian Convention Bureau gave a joint event at which they presented the new scheduled service operated by Slovenia's flag carrier from the Swedish capital. That same day, the first passengers flew from Stockholm on these new route. The inaugural Adria Airways flight from Stockholm was given a warm welcome at Arlanda Airport where at departure the passengers and aircraft was greeted with a special event: ribbon cutting and photoshooting. "I am delighted that we have succeeded in introducing a Stockholm – Ljubljana service," commented Adria Airways Marketing Director Iztok Franko before the first flight from Stockholm. At the formal inauguration of the new Adria Airways services from the Swedish capital, Iztok Franko Adria Airways’ Marketing Director, emphasized the importance of the expanding route network of Adria Airways: “As part of our new strategy, Adria Airways is establishing more routes between Slovenia and European cities. Following the inauguration of flights to Prague and Warsaw last year, Adria Airways will connect Ljubljana with Stockholm and Berlin starting with the 2015 spring/summer timetable. Adria Airways will ensure good connections between Slovenia and the rest of Europe with flights from Ljubljana to 21 destinations and a new scheduled service between Maribor and London. New in this summer timetable are flights from Ljubljana to Stockholm and Berlin. First flight to Stockholm was scheduled for 23 April 2015. The first flight to Berlin, where Adria Airways will fly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, is scheduled for 24 April 2015. The summer timetable maintains scheduled services from Pristina to Frankfurt and Munich and adds a flight to Malmo in Sweden. Scheduled flights between Tirana and Frankfurt also continue in the 2015 summer timetable, where they are joined by new connections between Tirana and Brussels and Paris. Alongside the established scheduled service between the Polish city of Lodz and Munich, the summer timetable adds a new Lodz – Amsterdam service, with six flights a week. During the summer season, charter flights operated by Adria in conjunction with travel agents connect Ljubljana with numerous holiday destinations, above all in the Mediterranean. Adria will fly weekly from Ljubljana to the following destinations in Greece: Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Kos, Chios, Samos, Santorini, Karpathos, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Skiathos, Lesbos and Lefkada/Preveza. There will also be flights to Antalya in Turkey and Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada in Egypt. The new Adria Airways scheduled service between Maribor and London starts on 1 June 2015. Adria will fly to London Southend Airport (SEN) on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. A return flight from Maribor or London at the special offer fare of just €69. Throughout June and July, London Southend Airport is offering Adria passengers a free one-way train ticket to central London (Liverpool Street Station). Adria Airways promoting Slovenia as an attractive tourist destination Adria Airways is putting a lot of effort in promoting Slovenia and Ljubljana as an attractive tourist destination on all markets with new routes. The campaign which started in March is emphasizing Slovenia as a fairy tale destination. From the end of April Adria Airways will fly to Berlin three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Ljubljana – Stockholm – Ljubljana Starting in the last days of April Adria Airways’s summer timetable will offer two flights a week between Ljubljana and Stockholm: on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tirana – Brussels – Tirana In the summer season Adria Airways will fly between Tirana and Brussels two times a week: on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
