GUIDE LINES FOR RECRUITMENT OF ABOVE POSTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following guidelines have been issued by the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, AP, Hyderabad under National programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, CVDs and Stroke. The following are the terms of references for the posts of District Epidemiologist and District Programme Co-ordinator under NCD. 1. District Epidemiologist Essential Qualifications: MBBS degree from institution recognized by Medical Council of India Desirable: MD/DNB in Preventive & Social Medicine / Community Medicine/ Community Health Administration, or Diploma / Masters in Public Health or / MBA (Health Care Administration). Experience: At least 3-4 years experience in Health Management/ Public Health Programme/ Health Services after obtaining post graduate degree/ Diploma. Desirable: Experience in Non Communicable Disease Control programme / projects Age Limit: Up to 50 years. Retired Govt./ Public Sector Officers up to the age of 62 years are eligible to apply. Remuneration : Rs.45,000/- per month Job requirements/ responsibilities: 01. Preparing Programme implementation plan. 02. Organizing review meetings and orientation workshops. 03. Organizing training programme for medical officers. 04. Visiting districts and peripheral units to monitor the NCD activities. 05. Reviewing programme implementation at district and below district levels. 06. Collaborating with Centre, Medical Colleges, Districts, NGOs and other sectors. 07. Preparing and submitting quarterly progress report for NPCDCS to SNO (NCD). 08. Any other job assigned by concerned Officers. 2. District Programme Coordinator: Essential Qualifications: MBBS degree from institution recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) Desirable: Diploma / Masters in Public Health / CHA Experience: At least two years experience of working in Health Services / Public Health Programme in Non Communicable Diseases. Working knowledge of operating computers an internet usage. Age Limit: Up to 50 years. Retired Govt./ Public Sector Officers up to the age of 62 years are eligible to apply. Remuneration: Rs.30,000/- per month Job requirements/ responsibilities: 01. Preparing Programme implementation plan. 02. Formulating operational and financial guidelines for programme implementation including review of existing guidelines. 03. Organizing National and Regional level review meetings and orientation workshops 04. Organizing training programme for Medical Officers. 05. Reviewing and integrating existing training material into the programme 06. Developing other training material and training strategy. 07. Visiting State & Districts to monitor the NCD activities 08. Reviewing programme implementation at State, District and below district levels. 09. Collaborating with State, Medical Colleges, NGOs and other sectors. 10. Preparing and submitting quarterly progress report for NPCDCS to DDG (NCD) 11. Parliament questions replies including preparation for supplementary. 12.
