About FEDCO
ABOUT FEDCO
Fluid Equipment Development Company (FEDCO) was founded in 1997 to
develop new fluid machinery to reduce the cost of reverse osmosis
desalination. The results included patented concepts, highly integrated
design and manufacturing software, and sophisticated manufacturing
processes.
FEDCO designs every
product it offers.
That effort culminated in several lines of energy recovery turbines and
high pressure feed pumps uniquely suited for seawater RO desalination.
Commercial sales began in 1999 with a limited product line, which has
undergone periodic expansions and enhancements.
Now, FEDCO's product lines are unmatched in quality and performance by
any manufacturer in the seawater RO market. FEDCO is a widely
recognized supplier with about one thousand units installed around the
world.
COMMITTED TO SUCCESS
We know RO. FEDCO equipment is designed and built to meet the specific
challenges of seawater and brackish water RO applications.
Fully integrated manufacturing
eliminates potential errors.
We know the importance of reliability, the importance of low capital cost
and the importance of easy operation. We know what it takes for OEMs and
end users to make money.
Every part is measured for
dimensional tolerance.
FEDCO moves to new 20,000 ft2 facility to meet
the growing demand for our products.
Every unit is tested for performance
on FEDCO's state of the art test loop.

about the HPB energy recovery feed booster…
The Hydraulic Pressure Booster or HPB is a fully self-contained brine energy recovery device
for seawater and brackish water systems. With over 400 units in field service, the HPB has
earned a reputation for reliability, ease of operation and most importantly as the best value
in energy recovery today.
The HPB generates a pressure boost in the feed stream ranging from 20 to 40% of the total
membrane requirement. The unit is entirely energized by the brine stream. The brine and
feed provide all lubrication and cooling. The HPB includes an integral valve for brine pressure

The HPB is manufactured in duplex
SS 2205. Unit capacity ranges from
10 to 500 m3/hr with pressures to
83 bar (optional to 103 bar).
HP Feed Pump
(centrifugal or PD)
The HPB is the most compact of all
ERDs. A unit rated for 40 m3/hr can
be held in one hand!
HPB
The HPB imposes absolutely no
limitations on the design or operation of the RO system. You design,
you build and you operate the system the way you want. Use any
chemicals, use any cleaning regime, its no problem for the HPB.
Detailed analysis of energy savings, capital and installation costs
