Inspiring Recovery Stars!
This has been an exciting year in Kentucky
for Peer Support! More and more Kentucky Peer
Specialists are being hired and we are excited to
now have 10 Consumer Operated Programs across
the state. With peer support being recognized as a
Medicaid reimbursable service, we are experiencing a whole new level of respect and demand for
peer delivered services. People all over Kentucky
are being inspired by the wonderful support
offered by caring people who have “walked the
walk.”
This year, we are excited to be offering a
special track for providers of mental health
services who are working with Kentucky Peer
Specialists. These providers will get the
opportunity to meet and experience the wonderful
peer support heroes from across the state.
Please join us for our biggest and best
conference ever!
Sarah Brumfield, KPS
Conference Chair
Recovery is real! Millions of Americans have
recovered from mental and substance use
disorders and are living lives with purpose and
