Overview
Grants Headquarters Program (Grants HQ)
Grants HQ Sponsored Grants: Sponsor one or more educational grants to support
teachers and their classroom projects. Choose the grant area of focus to match the
interests of your Corporate Social Responsibility efforts and employee interests. The LA
Fund team will work with you to design a grant(s) that fits your corporate citizenship
strategy, manage grantee applications and promote your grant(s) to LAUSD educators.
Grants HQ offers educators free grant writing workshops that have trained nearly 500
LAUSD educators to date, a curated online database of grants with nearly 2000 registered
users and growing, and access to a grants specialist for personalized support.
Grants HQ Sponsored Workshops: Sponsor a series of Grants HQ workshops by providing
space and food to our one day training on grantwriting provided free of charge to LAUSD
educators.
Grants HQ Panel: Host and participate in a Grants HQ Panel. The Grants HQ Panel is
available to LAUSD educators who have attended the LA Fund Grants HQ Workshop and
want to learn from CSR experts about their companies' specific opportunities. Your CSR
team can participate as panelists and lend their expertise.
The Internship Project Program (TIP)
Provide an Internship: Provide one or more internships to a Los Angeles high school
student. To provide career pathways for students, the LA Fund launched a paid student
internship program that takes place every summer and engages high-profile business
partners around Los Angeles. TIP interns have been placed in areas including the STEM,
healthcare, and entertainment sectors. Some of the partners include Kaiser Permanent,
Fullscreen, Illumination Entertainment, Bad Robot, and others.
Sponsor TIP: Support the TIP fund with a monetary contribution. Join our growing list of
TIP sponsors and receive sponsorship benefits. Some of our sponsors include Samsung and
Universal Studios. Engage your associates by providing a "Career Day" where TIP interns
visit your offices to learn about you industry, workplace culture and types of jobs available
at your company. Sponsor one or more paid internships for a student at a nonprofit.
Host a Third-Party Event
Corporate Events: Host a company event to benefit the LA Fund and its programs.
In-store Events: Retail corporations can partner with the LA Fund by hosting one or more
“in-store” events.
