Laird Norton Company is a long term investor of patient equity capital in lower middle-market companies
with a focus on consumer brands, building materials and asset management. It typically invests between $5
million and $50 million in companies with revenues between $10 million and $100 million and EBITDA
between $1 million and $20 million. We look for growth and buyout opportunities. The company is located
in Seattle, WA and focuses on investments in companies based in the Western United States, including the
Rocky Mountain States, and British Columbia.
This position will play an integral role in conducting due diligence for new investments, managing current
portfolio positions and assisting in the generation of new investment ideas, deal generation, deal structuring
and closing.



Evaluate potential new investments and conduct initial due diligence including reviewing
memoranda and data room documents, and performing industry research.
Construct acquisition models.
Assist in the preparation acquisition term sheets and bid letters.









Analyze financial and operating data, including sales and profitability trends.
Research industry, competition, customers and suppliers.
Construct detailed financial models.
Prepare internal business reviews, including investment memoranda.
Prepare management presentations for lender meetings.
Review/negotiate loan and transaction documents.
Assist in arranging financing.
Arrange and coordinate elements of third party due diligence.
Extensive interaction with senior management of target companies.




Collaborate in development and delivery of quarterly and monthly portfolio investment reports
Assist management in preparing budgets, financial models and analyses as needed.
Asset allocation and liquidity planning
Provide analysis to support the annual valuation process





Demonstrated record as a self-starter and team player.
3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking or private equity.
Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
Strong financial modeling, quantitative and analytical skills.
Strong record of academic success – ideally in a numerate feels of study.
