YEAR 6-7 TRANSITION
Once again, we have been overwhelmed with the interest from
parents to enrol their student at Lambton High School for Year
7 next year. Our expression of interest for enrolment has
closed and we received in excess of 170 ‘out of zone’
applications. This is a magnificent statement for our school;
however we can unfortunately only accommodate a small
number of these applications.
The following factors are particularly kept in mind:
Commitment to studies (student profile, report comments).
Special interests and abilities (e.g. leadership, cultural,
environmental, sport programs).
Attendance at a feeder primary school.
Proximity and access to the school.
Siblings already enrolled at the school.
We plan to have 7 classes in 2016 with a buffer of 2 places per
class (endorsed by the P&C Association) for an anticipated
enrolment of 196 students. Places within the buffer cannot be
offered to ‘out of zone’ students. First round offers will be
mailed out shortly.
Further information can be found at:

SENIOR LEADERSHIP BODY 2015-2016
Students in Year 11 who would like to be considered to be part
of the Senior Leadership Body are required to see me for a
copy of the Policy and to collect the Leadership Passport.
Applications will close on 29 May.
NEWCASTLE COMBINED SCHOOLS ANZAC SERVICE
To be eligible for a senior leadership position the student must
have an exemplary record of behaviour and attendance,
commitment to their studies, and demonstrate values such as
integrity, excellence, respect, responsibility, cooperation,
participation, care and fairness.
The Policy and Leadership Passport can be found at:

NSWCHS SPORT SELECTION
th
The 60 Newcastle Combined Schools ANZAC Service was
held at Civic Theatre last week. It provided students in the
Newcastle Region with a greater understanding of the meaning
of ANZAC Day and the sacrifices made by Australian men and
women in defending our country. The theme for the 2015
Service was They served – WW1 Australian Army Nurses from
the Hunter.
On behalf of the school I would like to congratulate our Year 10
Accelerated and Year 11 Drama students for their outstanding
