It includes members with diverse interests, educations, and backgrounds. We hold general membership meetings monthly from September through June, featuring topical programs. In March, we sponsor Girls Can!!, a career exploration conference for sixth-grade girls throughout Doña Ana County. This conference emphasizes what girls can do if they complete their educations. The branch provides a scholarship annually to a returning woman student from Doña Ana County who is pursuing a baccalaureate degree. Membership in AAUW-Las Cruces includes membership in the state and national AAUW organizations. AAUW-NM activities are announced in the quarterly newsletter, the Roadrunner, provided to all branch members.
