THIS SPRING THE BRITISH COUNCIL, SUPPORTED BY LATIMER GROUP, IS GIVING
EIGHTEEN EUROPEAN GRADUATES THE CHANCE TO JOIN A TEAM OF LEADING
THINKERS WHO WILL SHAPE AND INFORM THE DIGITAL OFFER OF ONE OF THE
WORLD’S LARGEST CULTURAL ORGANISATIONS.
Supported by a selection of Europe’s most influential entrepreneurs and new business leaders
and housed in some of most exciting collaborative spaces on the continent, the Innovation Lab
is a unique chance to have a lasting effect on the lives, careers and aspirations of hundreds of
thousands of fellow recent graduates.
If you are selected to become a pioneer member of the British Council Innovation Lab,
alongside two others graduates from your city you’ll work closely with a mentor to research,
design and develop a series of concepts for products and services that will be tested in real-life,
market driven conditions and presented at an Innovation Lab Summit in June 2015.
W hat we’re looking for:
§
Born creative, we’re looking for an enthusiastic designer with an eye for aesthetics.
Whatever you’re involved in has to look good and work well.
§
You’ll always have your ear to the street and know what’s trending in design, arts and
culture and how they impact and shape the world around you.
§
You are obsessed with the consumer experience and product pride. You won’t be happy
unless the user is satisfied.
§
You’ll be full of original and creative ideas on how to engage young people and you will
possess the know how to translate those ideas onto paper.
§
You must be a sociable character, a real team player dedicated to keeping up morale.
However, you mustn't be afraid to crack on with work alone and under tight deadlines.
§
You should be tech savvy, with a bountiful portfolio. Maybe you’re graphic designer or artist
and know just how to capture the imagination of others.
§
You should be eager to share your inclusive vision for the future and know how to design
products and platforms that are engaging to all members of society.
§
You’ll be excited at the prospect of working closely with a small team in a fast-paced startup environment.

§ We’ll be providing you with a weekly stipend covering expenses.
§
You’ll meet and connect with ththe other seventeen graduates and mentors at a kick-off event
in Warsaw, Poland on the 29 April 2015.
§
You’ll learn new communications and business skills collaborating with your peers. Industry
leader mentors will also support you during the Innovation Lab.
§
In June 2015, you’ll join the other seventeen graduates in London, UK for an exclusive, panEuropean innovation summit where you will present to senior decision makers at the British
Council and an audience of your peers.

Availability: you will need to be available from the 29 April until the 20 June for 1.5 full days
a week.
