professional education and training needs by offering non-credit classes to the community. These classes are
offered both on-site and online, to accommodate the needs of our students.
Creative Writing
In this class we will focus on the process of creative writing through
different activities. Creative writing forces students to use their
imagination in ways that make them more aware of and question their
surroundings. It requires us to look at all sides of a story, not just
one perspective. We will use our creative writing skills in activities
such as Stamp Story, Comic Strip, Story in a Bag and Team Writing.
Our weeks’ worth of activities will come home as a completed book!

Summer at LCC Saves Time and Money for University
and College-Bound Students
Enrolling in summer classes at LCC is easy and smart.
üü University students can save big on tuition costs while taking classes at LCC that transfer and
count toward their four-year degree.
üü 2015 high school graduates can get a jump start on college during the summer, saving either
time or stress—or both—down the road.
üü At just $575* in tuition (resident rate) for a five-credit class, you won’t find a better value in
higher education today!
üü LCC doesn’t hold classes on Fridays in the summer, and at just eight weeks, it’s our shortest
quarter of the year. Some classes meet for only four to six weeks.
üü Classes start July 6th. Please see page 3 of this schedule and visit lowercolumbia.edu for
registration and other important information.
*figure not final; pending outcome of 2015 legislative session
