Towards an e-leadership Ecosystem
Current situation is a Jungle (RIGA conference):
• No Digital Single Market for e-skills
• No clear curricula for IT Professionalism
• Mismatch in existing and required e-skills
• ICT training programs & certificates are
difficult/impossible to compare (learning outcomes,
quality, what is really required?)
• It is a well known problem for stakeholders
• BUT: still nothing happens
• This is greatly hampering the Digital Single Market

What themes to address urgently ?
• Start mapping existing ICT education to e-CF/ICT profiles;
revise existing certificates accordingly; make European
certificates (not national)
• Involve ICT professionals in further developing ICT profiles
(security managers, architects, etc.) and revision of existing
programs
• Create user (market) - suppliers (education) interactions in
improvement programs
• Start European accreditation and quality systems
• Start European register for European ICT professionals
(security, architects, etc.)

What is soonest needed ?
• The stakeholders should soonest agree this
needs to be solved; commitment to act
• Stakeholders to agree on a “minimum” European
Governance to solve the issues
• That Governance should be composed of a
Board (representing major stakeholders) and a
(small) executing organization
• A plan should be made and agreed upon
• A minimal funding and capacity is urgently
needed
