Bhawana Luthra, LEAD India Gopal Shankar Singh, Banaras Hindu University Sandeep Mehto, Bharat Calling All good things come to an end and so did NTS for Cohort 16, which has been a fantastic journey of learning and excellent exposure through eminent resource persons. Thanks to LEAD India I was blessed to meet and befriend some gem of people whose devotion for work and knowledge kept me in the state of awe. On 20th March 2015 the sessions concluded with the formal Graduation Ceremony, which felicitated the participants and welcomed them in the network of LEAD Fellows. The graduation ceremony was followed by the Annual General Meeting of LEAD India. Cohort 16 presented their lessons learnt from the learning journey and concrete suggestions on how would they continue engaging with LEAD India. The AGM has appointed two fellows from Cohort 16 to develop a draft Fellows charter for LEAD India. Now begins an exciting new journey as Fellow of prestigious LEAD network which I am looking f forward d to. -Ashish Rai, LEAD Fellow, Cohort 16 Cohort 16, NTS 4 Brief report- Integrating Conservation and Climate Adaptation in Urban Development, National Training Session ((NTS)) 4,, Cohort 16 Cohort 16 is the first batch representing the homegrown module home grown module run over 4 NTS in the back drop of Rural development, Urban development, Business sustainability and Mountain ecosystems. Each module was co-designed and codelivered with Fellows working in the vicinity and drew on their rich i h expertise i as resource persons. This hi event places l a milestone il iin evolution of LEAD India as it adds 11 enthusiastic professionals in the live throbbing network of now 176 Fellows across India. The four-day module on Integrating Conservation and Climate Adaptation in Urban Development covered modules on- Sustainability and equity challenges in urban development, building & construction in urban landscape- Sustainability challenges and best practices, everything we need to know about the food we eat- Supply Chain of Urban farming, sustainability challenges in urban transport and effective communications.
