Part I: Ethics, A Deep Dive
• We will look at Relativism, the difference
between Determinism and Free Choice.
What is the difference between Ethics
and Theology? How do we arrive at the
correct manner of behaving strictly from
reason, which is what Ethics is all about!
How does conscience play a role in our
behavior? We will conclude with a Live
and Learn and pass it on format.
Part II: Maintaining a Strong Ethical
Foundation as the Field of Aging
Services Evolves
• We will distinguish between physical
courage and moral courage. Why it is
necessary for individuals in the Senior
Living and Healthcare professions to
develop their value system so that they
are willing to stand up for what they
believe in and put into practice the
values they have developed and the
values expressed by the organization
they represent. We will discuss the
power of courage and characteristics of
those who are willing to stand up and not
take the easy way out.
Facilitated by: Jack Cotter, Ph.D. who
conducts seminars in ethics and
management for educational and
business professionals throughout the
Southeast.
