3rd Grade Spring Field Trips - Please Save!
Dear Parents,
Happy Spring! Field Trip season is right around the corner! Here are the dates, the costs and
other important details so that you and your child can be prepared for these special events. We ask that
you send your check in for all field trips by Wednesday, April 15th (Tax Day!) so that Mrs. Gallotte
can pay all of the companies efficiently and quickly.
Tuesday, May 5th: Shorecrest Theatre - "Mary Poppins" musical
Leave 11:30/Return 2:30
SACK LUNCH NEEDED
$5 per ticket for each student and parent attending
Transportation: parent carpools
Friday, May 15th: Meany Hall at UW - "Pilobolus" dance performance
Leave 10:40/Return 1:15
SACK LUNCH NEEDED
$2.50 per child to cover bus cost; performance is free of charge
Transportation: school bus
Tuesday, June 2nd: Burke Museum at UW - First Nations Jumbo Tour
Leave 9:20/Return 1:15
SACK LUNCH NEEDED
$10.25 per child includes field trip cost + bus
Transportation: school bus
Friday, June 12th: Yost Park, Edmonds - "Discover the Forest" lesson
Leave 11:10/Return 2:15

$2.50 per child for field trip
Transportation: parent carpools
See individual classroom newsletters for information about volunteering to accompany us on any of
these trips. Please remember that you are responsible for completing a volunteer form if you haven't
already. There is an additional form to submit if you're driving a carpool. Forms are available in the
front office.
Please send one check made out to Brookside for the total amount of $20.25.
If you know your child will not be able to attend one or more of these trips, let us know as soon as
possible. If you are attending the Shorecrest play with us, add an additional $5 for your seat after we
confirm your spot. We would like all checks sent in by Wednesday, April 15th. If this is a financial
hardship for you, let us know and we will arrange a scholarship for your child.
