The Halve Hahn is a traditional accompaniment to Kölsch beers in the beer gardens in and surrounding Cologne, Germany. This half-sandwich was c reated during the Middle Ages, and it’s amazing how well this simple fare pairs with Kölsch-style beers – especially Leinenkugel’s® Canoe Paddler®! What you'll need. • • • • • 1 roll of rye bread 1 wedge of Gouda cheese ½ onion, thinly sliced Butter Mustard How to put it all together. 1. Spread a slice of bread with b utter and mustard. Top with an onion slice and slice of cheese. Serve with a Canoe Paddler and enjoy.
