ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
State law requires recycling of the following electronics:
Televisions, monitors, printers, computers, electronic keyboards, facsimile machines,
videocassette recorders, portable digital music players, digital video disc players, video
game consoles, small scale servers, scanners, electronic mice, digital converter boxes, cable
receivers, satellite receivers and digital video disc recorders.
(Illinois Electronics Products Recycling and Reuse Act)
The items above WILL NOT BE PICKED UP curbside or with our bulky waste collection.
The City of LeRoy will host an electronics recycling program approximately 2 times per year.
The dates and times will be well publicized in advance.
Electronics may not be set out to the curb or dumped on other’s people’s property or in the trash
receptacles. CITATIONS WILL BE ISSUED.

Recycling Site:
There may not be anyone to help you unload your electronics so we recommend you bring
someone to help if you have electronics that are too heavy for you to handle.

All types of cell phones, pagers, PDAs and their chargers, cables and headset
accessories. Please note that cell phones and chargers can be dropped off at the Police
department for re-use by victims of domestic violence.

All small computer accessories, such as MP3 players, iPods, digital cameras, hand-held
scanners, hand-held games and other connected devices
