“SayNoToGangs” is a web-site developed with the
Yakima County Gang Commission to assist the county’s
efforts in combatting the county-wide gang problem.

SharePoint Server, the SayNoToGangs web site is a collection
of communication and collaboration
sites to provide:
Intervention
With more than 2,500 gang members
active in the county and as many as
12 homicides in the first part of the
year, Yakima County launched a
County-wide gang commission to
help focus efforts in the war on
gangs.
Collaboration tools in SayNoToGangs allow the many
community groups involved
to work closer together,
sharing information, resources, and communicating
amongst each other.
The county-wide gang commission
needs to work with the various community groups and local Gang Task
Forces to prevent and intervene with
gangs in a collaborative and coordinated effort.
