12.00– 3.00 pm
Dear Parents and Carers
The Friends of the Leys have kindly
agreed that all the proceeds of the
Summer Fair will go towards our
DREAM SCHOOL PROJECT. This is
very exciting for the children as this
means ALL the money raised will be
spent on playground equipment!
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Please
invite all your family and friends, come
and help on the day if you can, as it is
all for a great cause! HAPPY
CHILDREN LEARN, and we want our
school to be the BEST SCHOOL
EVER! We look forward to seeing you
on the day!
Free School Meals
If you think you maybe entitled to free school
meals as your child is currently in year 2 it is
imperative that you apply for the free school
meals at: [email protected], otherwise you
will be charged for meals from September as
the Universal Free Meals stops when your
child reaches the end of Year 2.

Well done
RIDING BIKES, SCOOTERS
AND QUADBIKES IN
SCHOOL ARE BANNED.
Any pupil who is seen riding
a bike or scooter on school
site will be given a red card.
I have had many complaints
from parents that their
children have been bumped
into or hit by pupils riding
bikes. This is a health and
safety issue. Please ensure
that your children respect
this rule.
How did your class do this week?
This week the Friendship cup
is awarded to Mckenzie in
year 1 for being kind and caring in class. Well done
McKenzie we are very proud
of you.

EYFS Science morning
On Wednesday we held a Parents in Partnership morning for Science in Early
Years. Nursery and Reception parents were invited to join us for a series of
experiments including: watching what happens when melting ice and oil try to
mix, making filter paper planets and making soap powered boats! We would like
to thank the Family Butchers at the Oval for donating the much needed trays for
our boat experiment. The session was very exciting and was described by the
parents as being "enjoyable, children and parents
could experiment and participate together and
share the experience.” and a "Fab morning. Really interesting and
enjoyed seeing what happens in the experiments. Really great ideas
and fun for home activities.” 72% of parents strongly agreed and 28%
agreed that they would recommend further sessions to other parents.
We would like to say a massive thanks to all the parents for their
continued support and interest without it we couldn't hold such fun
filled events.
