The center is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, functional and engaging experience for families, seven days a week, 359 days a year. All programming is based on the Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and customized programming is created for each individual based on an initial assessment. Family involvement is an essential aspect of programming. Caregivers are an integral part of their child’s development and will learn to generalize skills to other environments (e.g. home, community). The REC is designed to provide continuity of programming and bridge gaps in services that individuals with special needs require. Each individual staff member draws from their experience and unique personalities to create a fun, nurturing and safe environment for every student. All programming is overseen by a team of seasoned Board Certified Behavior Analysts whose extensive experience with children with autism and related special needs covers a range of settings including; public schools, private sectors and homes. This notably diverse experience ensures programming is designed to cover all aspects of a student’s development with a strong emphasis on fostering independence. PROGRAMS Following the individual assessment, a treatment plan will be created and implemented into our extensive Drop-off ABA Programming. • After-School/Extended School Day • Weekends • Camp REC – Extended School Year – including gaps in ESY Program • School Holidays and Vacations INSURANCE ACCEPTED Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research based methodology proven to successfully treat children and adults with Autism. Due to this research and the proven results, many states require insurance companies to cover ABA services for individuals with autism for the reason of medical necessity. CAMP REC Camp REC is the only local special education summer day camp designed to work around your schedule! Each student’s camp experience is individualized to meet all of their unique needs. We incorporate all aspects of education into our daily activities.
