If you know of people who are interested in joining our Club, please remind them that they can try two free events before committing themselves! PRESIDENT’S REPORT: My report will be very short as, not only is there limited space, but looking through the activities on offer throughout this Newsletter there is evidence enough as to why our members remain with us, and also why our numbers increase each quarter. Thanks go, as always, to the wonderful convenors who make this happen not only for the ongoing activities but also for those ‘one-off’ activities. Our urbane traveller and organiser, Harry, reports his Yarra trip was enjoyed by all and I thank Port Phillip Council for their generous contribution towards this activity. See below for more “extras” and keep an eye open for the next “Wine Appreciation Evening”. A few of our members have been unwell over the last three months and on behalf of all members, I wish them a speedy return to good health. And just to end, don’t forger that, “There is nothing more enviable than to have an old head and a young heart.” Saunders, Citatenlexicon, 1899, p.21.
