SELECT ULTRA SMOOTHING TREATMENT SUMMARY SHEET This treatment is specifically designed to smooth all hair types with the exception of weak, over processed hair. Leading Brazilian Blowout stylists have found that careful attention to detail always yields a perfect result. In order to ensure a superior result, always begin with an in-depth consultation. I M P O R TA N T • DO NOT perform on weak, over processed hair. • Relaxer should NOT have been used 3 months prior or up to 1 year after using Select. • All color services should be performed 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the treatment. • Color shift may occur if used on hair that is unsuitable. Products: SMOOTH/SHINE/ANTI-FRIZZ Enriched with the Brazilian Super Nutrient Complex PROFESSIONAL U LT R A S M O O T H I NG SOLUTION Smooths Very Curly/Coarse/Resistant Hair Brazilian Super Nutrient Complex Advanced Polymer System Reconstructs & Improves Overall Condition Of The Hair Brazilian Blowout Select Professional Ultra Smoothing Solution Brazilian Blowout Açai Anti-Residue Shampoo STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: 1 2 TOWEL DRY Towel dry hair to remove excess moisture. • Hair should be damp, not dripping wet, prior to applying solution • Use a spray bottle if hair dries during the service to re-wet hair 3 DIVIDE HAIR Divide hair into 4 even sections utilizing a profile section from front-to-back and a radial section from ear-to-ear. 4 MEASURE SOLUTION Shake the bottle prior to dispensing. (see chart below to determine the average amount of solution to use) HAIR LENGTH Short (chin length or above) Medium (at shoulders) Long (below shoulders) Brazilian Blowout Açai Deep Conditioning Masque Brazilian Blowout Açai Anti-Frizz Shampoo SHAMPOO Shampoo hair thoroughly with Brazilian Blowout Açai Anti-Residue Shampoo. • Shampoo a minimum of 3 times - Shampoo as many times as needed to achieve a squeaky clean result AVERAGE AMOUNT 30 to 45 ml 45 to 60 ml 60 to 120 ml EXTREMELY CURLY HAIR Up to 90 ml Up to 120 ml Up to 145 ml Note: Amount of solution may vary by hair density 5 APPLY SOLUTION 12oz/350ml Apply the solution section-by-section, using an applicator brush and comb to pull through the hair. • Start at the nape of the head and work your way to the top • Apply to 1.5 – 4 cm size sections depending on the texture, porosity and density of the hair • Saturate the hair (DO NOT saturate the scalp) • Apply directly to root (not scalp) and work product from root to end ensuring that each strand is completely saturated Tools: Brazilian Blowout Applicator Brush 6 Allow solution to process for 30-45 minutes depending on the porosity of the hair. • Processed and porous hair should process for up to 30 minutes • Resistant, non-porous and virgin hair process for up to 45 minutes • DO NOT place the client under a dryer or heating appliance Note: Use professional judgement to determine processing time. Measuring Cup Spray Bottle 7 8 Nitrile Gloves Brazilian Blowout Round Boar Bristle Brush Brazilian Blowout ProDigital Flat Iron Carbon Fiber Fine Tooth Comb APPLY MASQUE 5-10 Minutes • For fine, porous hair, leave masque on for at least 10 minutes • For coarse, non-porous hair leave masque on for minimum of 5 minutes • Towel dry 9 Blow Dryer with Concentrator SHAMPOO Apply Brazilian Blowout Açai Deep Conditioning Masque. • Leave in for approximately 5-10 minutes depending on the porosity of the hair, then rinse thoroughly Brazilian Blowout Cape 2 Pairs of Protective Eyewear (for stylist & client) 30-45 Minutes Completely rinse solution from the hair for 1 to 2 minutes with warm water. • Shampoo hair once with Brazilian Blowout Açai Anti-Frizz Shampoo to gently remove solution • Be sure that ALL product is thoroughly rinsed and washed out Color Bowl Brazilian Blowout Hair Clips PROCESS BLOW DRY Blow dry hair as sleek and smooth as possible taking an average 4 to 5 cm size sections. • Use Brazilian Blowout Round Boar Bristle Brush (or similar boar bristle brush) • High heat • Use as much tension as possible • Hold concentrator directly on hair pointing down in the direction of your blow dry 10 FLAT IRON Flat iron whole head of hair using the Brazilian Blowout ProDigital Flat Iron or professional digital flat iron that reaches 232° Celsius. Ease tension on the ends • Flat iron in .3 cm to .6 cm size sections or 30 mm to 60 mm • Use temperature between 198º and 232º Celsius, based on the porosity and integrity of the hair - for more porous hair, a lower temperature is recommended to prevent color shift • Flat iron hair from roots to mid-shaft using the same tension and pressure all the way down the hair shaft; using less passes and tension through the ends • For extremely resistant hair use 15 or more passes over the root and mid shift The treatment is now complete, no rinse necessary. Client can resume daily activity including: exercising, swimming, putting hair in a ponytail or clip etc. upon completion of treatment. The Brazilian Blowout Select Ultra Smoothing Treatment must be performed by a certified licensed stylist and must be used with appropriate ventilation and in accordance with manufacturer instructions. Stylists should wear protective gloves when performing this treatment. Both stylists and clients should wear protective eyewear for optimal protection. If the Brazilian Blowout Select Ultra Smoothing Solution comes into contact with the skin, wash immediately. If ingested or in contact with eyes, call a physician. If you are nursing or pregnant do not use this product. Do not use this product on children, pregnant women, chemically sensitive clients, the elderly or clients with respiratory conditions. Keep out of reach of children. Strand testing is recommended before performing chemical services.
