MIKE LORD, CHAIRMAN & CEO
Mike is a serial entrepreneur, having grown his last business from £5m to £50m over the previous decade.
He is the complete CEO and Chairman with a thorough understanding of technology, as well as the
commercialisation of it. Having invested £800k personally in LightwaveRF, his ambition is to make it
another success story.
JOHN SHERMER, MANAGING DIRECTOR
In 1984 John Shermer established the Centre of Access Technology as a resource centre operated by
Birmingham local authority which offered expertise and training on technology and disability to other local
authorities within the UK and overseas agencies. John established SRS Technology Group plc in 1991 where
he held various senior executive and Board positions until his resignation in 2006, following the sale of SRS’s
only trading subsidiary to a competitor.
John is a founder and the visionary behind LightwaveRF.
TOM SYKES, CFO
SME Managing Director / Chief Executive with extensive UK and global experience devising and
implementing rapid growth, turnaround and performance improvement strategies in manufacturing
business; including engineering, textiles, technology and home improvement products.

CHRIS SKELTON, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Three decades in the electronics industry, the last 18 years as a consultant specializing in commercial RF, home
automation, remote control, and green technology. Very broad experience covering component design to system architecture, NFC to GPS, Satellite uplink stations
to domestic downlink receivers, audio amplifiers to digital tuners, RF to microprocessors, cosmetic companies to
European Space Agency.
SIMON LANE, SALES DIRECTOR
With over 20 years in the Electrical & Electronics Industry, Simon Lane has been at the forefront of
developing and delivering new innovation to the mass market. After leaving C.H.Byron as Managing
Director he has been able to pursue his beliefs of developing and introducing RF technology, into
everyday products, convenient daily living devices for everyone.
JIM KIMBERLEY
Technical Manager with a BSc in Information Technology with Distinction gained from the University of
the West of Scotland in 2010
