Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Lilydale High School Instrumental Music Department will be running workshops for Instrumental Music students in June.
The workshops will cater to students from each band/ensemble with the days focusing on technique, rehearsal and
performance practice. Students will be required to attend on the days for which their band(s)/ensemble(s) are running. The
workshops will be held at Lilydale High School in the PAC, Supper Room, Hall and other designated rooms. The cost
required with their participation in the workshop includes items provided for students to use on the day, guest speakers, as
well as lunch that is provided for students on the day.
The details for the workshop days are as follows:
WEDNESDAY 3rd June 2015
WORKSHOP DAY 1:

Rookie Band

Rookie Guitar Ensemble

LHS Band
THURSDAY 4th June 2015
WORKSHOP DAY 2:

Funk Band

Vocal Ensemble

Hendrix Guitar Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble

NB: In the event that students bands/ensembles clash – directors of each band/ensemble will indicate which periods students
will need to attend their workshops individually.
TIME:
8:40 am – 2:54 pm Regular School Day (students will need to attend morning form assembly).
VENUE:
Lilydale High School (Hall, Supper Room & PAC Band Room)
COST:
$10.00 (if students participate in multiple workshop days, they only need to pay the required $10 once).
STUDENTS MUST BRING: Their instrument, relevant sheet music, water bottle and their snack for recess.
Students are allowed to wear free dress only on the days of their band/ensemble Instrumental workshop(s).
Please return the form below to the PAC or LHS front office with attached payment of $10 by FRIDAY 22
