Lincoln Shooting Sports: By Shooters, for Shooters. April 20, 2015 Board Meeting Minutes Board members present: Predmore, Rosso, Classen, Pabian, Lutz, Marshall, Hier, Wanek, and Exum. Guests: Dale Fangmeyer, Bruce Poulain President Predmore opened the meeting at 7:04 pm. March meeting minutes: Motion made by Pabian to accept March meeting minutes. 2nd by Classen. Motion passed 9-‐0. Treasurer Report: Per the by-‐laws, Rosso will provide P&L’s quarterly, rather than monthly. The Wells Fargo Blue Flame account (currently $5,819.29) needs to be reduced to $5,000. $819.29 will be transferred out of this account for the purchase of ECTC medals (youth shooting). Rosso will coordinate with Andy Brown to accomplish this. A goal is set forth to keep labor cost at a max of 25% of revenue. (March revenue=$47, 784; March labor=$10,730~~10730/47784=22.4%) Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report by Predmore, 2nd by Exum. Motion passed 9-‐0. Manager’s Report: -‐Approximately 210,000 targets thrown in the month of March. -‐March revenue: $47,784 -‐March labor: $10,731 -‐College shoot and ECTC trap shoot included high labor hours. -‐Bathroom remodel is complete. Approximately $1,300 brought in so far. -‐The collegiate shoot could be considerably larger next year, with more college teams as well as high school teams competing. Motion to approve Manager’s Report by Rosso, 2nd by Exum. Motion passed 9-‐0. Committee Reports: Skeet: 8,100 targets thrown for the Hall of Fame skeet shoot. Approximately 5,000 targets thrown at the Duh Fang skeet shoot. There are 27 teams competing in the skeet league this year. Trap: 3,800 registered targets thrown in March. The next registered trap shoot will be May 11th. There are 28 teams competing in the trap league this year. Sporting Clays: League will start May 4th. Currently there are five teams signed up. Safety Committee: Exum and Wanek will plan to hold hunters safety class(es) at LT&SC. Classes are required to be 16 hours in length. It was pointed out that anyone participating in high school trap must have taken this course. Safety of the employees while transporting/loading houses was also discussed. (402) 467-‐2153 www.lincolntrapandskeet.com Lincoln Shooting Sports: By Shooters, for Shooters. -‐Gary will follow up with Cabelas about paying their bill from last year. -‐Krieghoff stone will be picked up in May. -‐Predmore will be sending out letters to donors (stones) for the sporting clays range soon. -‐Gary to follow up with current lead miner, as well as the operation out of Fremont as a back up plan. -‐Gary will see the split rail fence is fixed at various locations. New Business: -‐Mr. Stan Patzel has expressed concern with two topics: 1. The sporting clays machines being held under Lincoln Shooting Sports Foundation (LSSF). Motion to transfer ownership of these machines from LSSF to LT&SC by Predmore, 2nd by Rosso. Motion passed 9-‐0. 2. Lead mining money, and how it is accounted for financially. After consultation with Doug Marolf (attorney), it is determined this money can only be considered as income. There are no other options. -‐Paul Giambrone is currently planning on holding a 2 day clinic at LT&SC on September 17th and 18th. Chris Lutz will coordinate with Mr. Giambrone and the participants regarding the clinic. -‐Marshall and Ostwald will investigate cost of sporting clays machine covers, and report to the board in May. -‐Ostwald will see that the sporting clays connectors/end terminals be soldered and shrink wrapped. -‐Larry Post has agreed to head up a volunteer task force, under the direction of Mr. Ostwald. -‐Gary will place many of the plaques, etc. that were previously taken down, back up on the walls.
