It’s not too late to select your on-campus room for next year. With 27 residence halls, two
apartment communities and a variety of living arrangements, there’s a place to call home
for the bookworm, foodie, fanatic, socialite and everyone in between.
Living on campus, just steps away from Neighborhood Engagement Centers, makes it
convenient for you to reach the resources necessary for you to succeed. Whether it’s
visiting an adviser to talk about your academic plan, finding a Zumba class to attend, or
getting extra help from a tutor before your big exam — your ticket to success is in
the Neighborhoods.

Summer 2015 Housing
Summer housing is available on-campus for students enrolled in summer classes (first
session, second session or both). Choose from Bailey or Owen Hall for your summer
session(s). The summer housing application fee is $40 and is waived for students currently
living on campus.
Summer housing sign-up begins April 16 and students will be able to move on May 14. You
can learn more about your summer options at www.liveon.msu.edu.

Looking for a summer job to make your summer in East Lansing one of the best? The
Division of Residential and Hospitality Services at MSU has a variety of openings!
MSU is welcoming a larger-than-usual group of conference attendees to our beautiful

Things to Do Around East Lansing This Summer
Summer is right around the corner! With the regular academic year coming to a close, you
may wonder what there is to do in our community during the summer months. Well, East
Lansing is the perfect place for you to spend a relaxing summer. It’s a great time to explore
the area without fear of frostbite. Here are a few ideas:
•Spend an evening listening to soothing melodies. The City of East Lansing hosts
a summer concert series that brings musicians in to town from all over the state of
Michigan and sometimes farther.
•Hop on your bike and take a ride down the Lansing River Trail. Your trip could lead
you to new destinations like the Potter Park Zoo, the Lansing City Market and Old
Town Lansing.
•Swim at MSU’s outdoor pool. Cool off during open swim hours and work on that
summer glow!
To a Spartan, summer days in and around East Lansing scream adventure. Whether it’s an
early morning run through the breathtakingly beautiful campus, a mid-afternoon date for
frozen yogurt, or an evening dip into Lake Lansing — your summer here will be one you will
never forget.
