Welcome To Vice President's Day
(Final of the Lindenberg)
Our Vice-President this year has been the softly spoken David Copeland. David has been with
us for some time now, but this is his first foray into the “committee”. During the next twelve
months he’s sure to find out just how much power the president of this great club has! As
always we thank our outgoing leader for his efforts, humour and goodwill and welcome in the
new blood. Best of luck Dave!
PRESIDENT’S DAY, with 25 Lizards and 5 visitors, produced the following results:

John O’Meara (that’s pronounced o-mar-a) has taken a real shine
to the new course layout. His 42 points was 5 clear of 2nd place, and
13 better than the day’s average score of 29. It was actually 4 years
to the day since his previous win, which undoubtedly made it even
sweeter.
Gary Castle is enjoying some late season form, although he may have left his run a little late
for the club championship. Still, 37 points on the resort course is nothing to sneeze at.
Glen Batkin has been taking a lead from his beloved
Sea Eagles of late. His recent spate of Bradman
winning scores is right in line with the performance of
his favoured NRL team! Which of them will climb off
the bottom of the ladder first?
AGM Update
Neil Winterton has booked Balgowlah RSL for Tuesday 7 July. The meeting will be in the
Terrace Room at about 7pm, followed by a meal in the Bistro for those who want to eat.
Health Update
Hart Schwarz is now residing at the Opal Seaside Aged Care
Facility. Visiting is available anytime at 184 Garden Street
Warriewood. Phone calls can be put through to him on 9910
7600. He is in the dementia ward and is ‘locked in”.
Andy Warner has had the operation on his back and will not be
at Lizards in June. Neil is hopeful of a further update at today’s
meeting.
