The work schedule bid for the above mentioned period is posted and will be a call – in bid held in the TWU Office.
The individual bid date and times will be posted in the Ramp Service Corridor. Copies of the bid will be e-mailed
and will also be placed in the administrative area.

Bidding will be by occupational seniority, if you are on vacation or unable to call in at the appointed time, you are
expected to leave a copy of an A.O.I Magda Mercado. If a copy of an A.O.I. of your selection is not left and you do
not call at your appointed time you will be bypassed.
The Line Crew Chief, when available will meet his/her inbound with their crew and will have the responsibility of
ensuring that the bags are delivered in waves and in accordance with LGA baggage delivery times. For proper
planning it will be required that the Crew Chiefs at the beginning of their shift make contact with the Line Control
Crew Chief for update on the current operating schedule and staffing, FSCs will also be required to check in. THIS
BRIEFING MUST TAKE PLACE IN THE LINE CONTROL OFFICE, NO EXPECTIONS. The Line Crew Chiefs are responsible
for his/her respective flights including but limited to the ARRIVALS, DEPARTURES and BAG SCANNING. You will be
responsible for the proper fueling of the ground equipment on your gate. YOUR GOAL IS TO ENSURE THAT ALL
INBOUND FLIGHTS HAVE THEIR BAGS DELIVERED TO THE CLAIM AREA IN WAVES TO MEET OUR CUSTOMER’S
EXPECTATIONS AND THE LGA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS (14 MINUTES FOR THE 1ST BAGD AND 22 MINUTES FOR
THE LAST BAG).
Line Control Crew Chief
The Line Control Crew Chief will be responsible for the organizing and planning of all line activity while
communicating and advising Line Crew Chiefs of any changes in the operation. He/she will also need to make
adjustments as operationally needed as well as assign crews to cover flights and lunch breaks. The Line Control
Crew Chief must be proficient with the Staff Manager application.
The Line Control Crew Chief will pay close attention to the operation and will need to remain in constant
communication with the Line Crew Chiefs, Ramp Control and Management at all times. He/she will plan the
operation to meet all requirements of American Airlines operating manuals and specifically the Line Cargo
Manual
Line Crew Chief

Line Crew Chiefs are responsible for the complete operation of the flights that are assigned to them. They are
responsible for having their crew ready (with carts, bags etc.) and in place to meet all arrivals, the off-loading of
the inbound baggage, uploading of the outbound baggage all with the objective of achieving an on-time
departure. The Line Crew Chiefs are to be in constant communication with the Line Control Crew Chief to ensure
that they are aware of any possible changes to their flight line up due to operational changes. Line Crew Chiefs
bidding 0455 – 1325 shifts (Spot 6) will work with a PT Crew 3 in and also with FT Crew 6. In addition, Line Crew
Chief Bidding 1300 – 2130 Shift (Spot 18) will work with FT Crew 6 and will close the shift with a PT crew at night.
Bag room C Crew Chief
On this bid there will be (1) Crew Chief am (1) Crew Chief pm responsible for bag room C and Interline, he or she
will ensure that all work assignments are carried out and that all plan bags are delivered timely to the departure
gate. If required he or she will ensure that all bags that are expedited are done so efficiently and all forwarding
messages are inputted into the system accurately. In addition, Bag room C Crew Chief will be assigned to the
hours where peak connecting traffic exists and will ensure that all connecting bags are made by monitoring BAG
MATRIX. He or she will also insure that bags are delivered always (premium bags first) in waves and are scanned
at the claim belt by his dumpers and that their assignments are followed. Line crews will also be required to assist
with the dumping of flights.
Bag room D Crew Chief
On this bid there will be (1) Crew Chief am (1) Crew Chief pm responsible for bag room D, he or she will ensure
that all work assignments are carried out and that all plan bags are delivered timely to the departure gate. If
required he or she will ensure that all bags that are expedited are done so efficiently and all forwarding messages
are inputted into the system accurately. The D Bag Room Crew Chief along with a CSM will be responsible for
reassigning the Pier when operational changes are made. The Bag Room Crew Chief will also ensure that all bags
are 100% accommodated by monitoring dashboard (http://get.aa.com). Bag room D Crew Chief will also oversee
the bag delivery area as well.

Vacation Relief
Vacation relief FSCs will cover vacations, when or if all vacation spots are covered vacation relief personnel will be
assigned as utility clerks based on operational needs. Anyone Bidding Vacation Relief will be expected to bid on
Thursday April 2nd, 2015. A blank copy of the call in dates will be available on the day of the bid so you will be
made aware of the time you are expected to call in. All work schedules will be bid in (4) week increments
General
All FSC must be required to Push/ Tow. NO EXCEPTIONS
Clerks that bid LAV slots must be qualified and must wear full PPE. NO EXCEPTIONS,
All bags on flights arriving LGA must be scan while offloading/ plane side and also will receive an offload scan
planeside and also claim scan at the delivery belt. All interline runners will be required scan connecting bags upon
pickup and delivery. The Line control crew chief will have the responsibility of ensuring that proper staffing levels
are achieved to obtain the desired result with regards to our baggage delivery goals.
All Crew Chiefs will be responsible for expediting bags.
Clerks bidding the Interline positions will be required to report to the Interline/ Baggage Delivery Crew Chief to
receive his/her assignments.
Employees currently out on Injury or Long-Term Sick will not be allowed to bid unless Management receives
medical documentation returning the employee to Full-Duty within two (2) weeks after the bid starts. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
All Line Personnel are required to have specific training not limited to Pushing/Towing of all aircraft types.
The Training Crew Chief spot is currently locked in with Carl Lapenna and will become open for all Crew Chiefs to
bid on during the next bid.

WHILE ALL SHIFTS ARE PRIMARILY ASSIGNED A SPECIFIC DUTY, THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO UTILIZE
ANY EMPLOYEE THAT HAS “DOWN TIME” ASSOCIATED WITH HIS/HER SHIFT AND AS OPERATIONALLY NEEDED.
IN ADITION MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMPLEMENT A RECOVERY PLAN TO ADDRESS STAFFING
NEEDS RELATED TO ANY MAJOR WEATHER EVENT OR IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY
