A 4 DAY FORUM ON COLLECTING STRATEGIES | 3-6 June Finding its starting point in the positive acknowledgement of engaged approaches towards collecting, LOOP Panels 2015 will address the specificity of the Moving Image art ecosystem, and will question the existence and agency of the Post-Objective Collector. The discussions will revolve around three different axis: the Attitudes to collecting that lead to the production of contents and to an essential engagement with the community; the Processes related with the evolution of those practices in both the institutional and the private realm; and the Practical issues inherent to the very nature of Films and Videos, the specificity of their market, modalities of consumption and legal regulations. LOOP Panels will combine experiences and novel perspectives to ultimately outline the profile of the committed collector, and assess its role in possibly emerging scenarios.
