VICTORIA PENDLETON ACTIVE GIRLS CAMP (VPAG) CAMP MANAGER Job Description Our Camp Managers are required to take overall responsibility for managing the camp, and delivering a structured and inspirational programme of activities for all the children attending. The Camp Managers priority is to give every child an inspirational, active and fun experience, in a safe environment. Our Camp Managers will be representing Victoria Pendleton CBE, and so they need to have something individual and unique to bring to the job, but most importantly, like Victoria, they MUST have bags of enthusiasm and a genuine passion for doing the best possible job. Every camp manager will be interviewed by Victoria and they will be required to spend time with her creating a unique programme of activities for their camp venue based on the facilities available. It is Victoria’s belief that if young people are given the opportunity to try lots of different sports and activities they will find something they enjoy, and as such her camps will offer a range of ‘different’ activities as well as some core sports. Our camp managers should have an interest in and ideally experience in a wide variety of sports. A key element of the role is to lead and motivate the staff team to achieve the highest levels of care, organisation and delivery of sports coaching.
